Rates

Every rate holder carries three numbers - bare cost → burdened cost → bill rate - and the gap is labor profit per hour. These rates flow into estimate labor lines and the job-cost labor column. How rates sync to QuickBooks payroll / vendors is greyed until Seth's QB review.

Edit rate

Employer burden / hr
1099 contractor - no employer burden. Cost equals their pay rate.
Bill & effective date
Saving creates a new effective-dated rate; the prior rate is kept as history.
